About Us

Clay Curry, Co-Founder of Sound Integrations

Clay was born and raised in southwest Florida, moving to Tallahassee to attend FSU and eventually landing in Orlando in 2001. He has been fascinated with the inner workings of electrical and electronic components since his early childhood, with everything from trying to increase the performance of his RC cars, to using high-speed dubbing to create spooky voice overs, to seeing how much bass he could get out of his car.

Clay began his home technology career with Absolute Sound in Winter Park. He started there as a helper, working his way up the ladder to crew chief then to service and retail installation manager and eventually to installation manager for all of Absolute Sound. It was during his time at Absolute Sound that he formed a professional relationship with Troy and so it seemed a natural evolution to partner with him to create Sound Integrations after Absolute Sound closed its doors in July of 2010.

Clay now resides in Groveland and when he is not out making Technology Simple for his clients, he enjoys spending time with his family, going RVing, fishing and watching movies.

Troy Goetz, Co-Founder of Sound Integrations

Troy Goetz photo Born in South Florida, Troy’s family moved to Orlando when he was a very young child; Central Florida has been home ever since. Being the son of a “Telephone Repairman” Troy was curious about all things electrical and electronic. Old telephones, remote control cars and other electronic toys were subjected to dismantling to see what made them work. He built his first electrical circuit in seventh grade shop class and his ninth grade science project was a fiber optic audio transmitter and receiver connected to a tape player and speaker.

Prior to starting Sound Integrations with Clay Curry, Troy worked as an electrician for 10 plus years. After a chance meeting in 1998 with the owner of Absolute Sound, his career changed directions. He used his knowledge of electrical circuits and understanding of electronics to work his way up to Crew Chief and ultimately to Project Manager. In 2003 he earned his “Master Electrician’s License” and qualified Absolute Sound as a “Registered Electrical Contractor” in Florida.

Troy spends his free time with his wife and son as well as volunteering his time and skills at their church in Longwood and is part of the team that produces “Sunset Cinema” at Cranes Roost Park in Altamonte Springs.
